The Solution Analyst is responsible for providing cost effective sourcing and optimization of service provider products to customers at the end of each provider’s contract and as requested. The associate is responsible for maintaining excellence in relationships with customers, vendors, partners, and other departments; maintain standards and conduct that reflect One Source values and set an example for others to follow.
Responsibilities
- Partner with Customer Success and Service Delivery teams to ensure that the Solutions team meets the needs of customers
- Analyze customer’s services and spend to identify opportunities for optimizing services and pricing.
- Provide price quotes and comparative solutions to illustrate current communication expenses versus proposed expenses.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of vendor and service provider pricing, products, services, and infrastructure.
- Participate in on-going training to maintain industry and product knowledge
- Apply product knowledge to each customer determining the most beneficial services available for the customer in their respective market.
- Consider impact to customer and One Source for all recommendations from implementation to billing.
- Contact vendors and providers to verify customer inventory and contract records are accurate and remain up to date.
- Assist with major projects as assigned by management.
- Maintain timeliness of work by acknowledging assignments within standard interval guidelines and provide updates on a regular interval.
- Provide explanation and clarification of the solutions to internal teams and customer.
- Assist Customer Success team in presenting quotes and solutions as necessary.
- Respond to customers’ email requests for pricing following department guidelines for sharing pricing and paperwork with the customer.
- Generate service provider paperwork necessary to implement services quoted. Provide paperwork via designated processes.
- Perform work duties within scheduled hours and refrain from consistently working excessive hours (with the exception of special circumstances and projects as approved by Director).
- Data and system use must comply with One Source information security policies and standards.
- Unauthorized access to data and/or systems is prohibited.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
- The individual should have the ability to read and interpret documents such as telecommunications solutions and invoices, terms and conditions, accounting reports and contractual agreements. The individual should also have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence and the ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- The individual should have the ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions and proportions. The individual should also be able to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- The individual will be able to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. The individual should also have the ability to interpret a variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Education and Experience:
- The individual will preferably have earned a Bachelor’s degree (B. A.) in a related field from a four-year college or university. One to two years related experience, training and/or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
- To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Knowledge of database software and/or project management software is helpful but not required.
